Hungover in Munich

Höly Sheiße! The drunkest town I have ever seen in my life! The world cup game Germany vs. Costa Rica happened in Münich yesterday. I watched the game in the streets like every one else who didn't have the expensive ticket. There was tons of broken glass and screaming football fans. I suppose I should do something cultural today but honestly I am spent. This is a party town. I can't even imagine what Oktoberfest is like. I must go back to bed but Im being kicked out my room for a few hours. Im almost looking forward to sobering up and eating salads when I get back home.

Rain Rain Everywhere!

I have to admit that I like the rain more than most people. But this is getting fucking ridiculous. Only two days I have been In Europe has it not rained. It hasn't necessarily rained all day but rained at least for a few minutes. Im having fun notheless. I ended up skipping the mountains in slovakia because of the weather. Then I skipped Budapest because The trip there from Olomouc was too expensive and long. So no worries this morning Im trying to book a bed in Munich for the weekend. hopefulkly that will pan out. Currently Im in Cesky Krumlov which is absolutly the prettiest town I have ever been to. Lots of cool old buildings and tons of shit to do. I have been more impressed by the small towns in Central Europe than the cities. So far I have been to in Chronological order; Prague, Sedlec, Kutna Hora, Olomouc, Krakow, Oswiecem, Olomouc(again) and Cesky Krumlov. Hopefully I will get to Munich and possibly a small castle town outside of prague before Im done. I was hoping to go more places but to be honest you really need to spend 3 or 4 days in a place to do all the things you want. Next summer I think Im going to do a proper trip and go out for 2 or so months. Wee will se what happens though.

Live from Krakow

Im way too hung over to be wandering the streets of Krakow today. Last night I picked up some beer so I could chill at the hostel and drink with John from Dublin. Seven beers later at 1 am a group consisting of 2 aussies, a canadian, an english girl, a dubliner, a pol and 2 americans(me included) decided to go out to a club. What an interesting night. Not knowing how bad of an idea it was the polish guy taught me the word for pussy. Apparently my pronuciation is very good. Because I got tons of laughs from bartenders, cab drivers, grocery store clerks and just about every human I came into contact with. The Polish know how to party, and backpackers know how to drink. Fortunately the sun was on its way up in time to navigate back to mamas hostel. I think that not doing that was what mom meant by "be careful". Sorry mom.

So far this trip has been amazing. I have me loads of people from all over the place. Most of the Americans I meet are from California. I have traveled with a few of them from Prague to Kutna Hora, Olomouc, and Krakow. Im not exactly certain where Im going to next. Maybe Directly to Budapest depending on the price of the train ticket or to Slovakia first. I suppose I'll worry about that when I have nowhere to stay on Saturday night. I have been toying with the idea of taking the night train but I keep hearing that the train from here to Prague gets robbed frequently. I think I will just stick to the day trains.

Im going to head out to Auschwitz-Birkenau tommorow. I have a feeling that is going to suck but It's the reason I decided to come to Poland in the first place. The salt mines around here are supposed to be pretty cool but Im not sure if I will do that or not. Im almost ready to drop every plan and just head to Croatia and chill in Dubrovnik. Nearly every backpacker I have talked to said its the best city they have been to. Prague is cool but it is very touristy. The bridge and castle are packed during the day. And judging by how you get treated by locals I think they are sick of English speakers. Krakow so far is great. I hope to post again soon. I suppose it won't be until I have another massive hangover.

Shmucks I deal with (caution! post contains gratuitous use of the word Fuck)

I have to admit that normally I don't give two shits about work. But lately that place is sucking the life out of me. I can't fucking deal with rednecks, idiots, the elderly and their children for much longer. I really need to stab one of these fuckers. People are so not original when they deal with me. I hear the same old fucking washed up one liners from the guy who can't pronounce quesadilla. The next asshole that tells me "they wouldn't know where to put it" when I offer dessert is going to get a suggestion! They tell me at work that our customers are not "customers". They're "Guests"! Amazingly no fucking guest in my house allows their 2 year old to throw crackers, crayons, menus, silverware, napkins, and whatever else they can get their fucking hands on around my house.

Me: Can I get you something to drink?
Confused Customer #1: No Thanks...I'll have a water.
(suppressed comment)What will you be doing with it?

CC#2: What kind of soup do you have?
Me: Today we have chicken tortilla and french onion.
CC#2: Do you have Broccoli Cheese?
Me: No, only on tuesday.
CC#2: Oh so you don't have Broccoli Cheese?
Me: No.
CC#2: Do you have french onion?
Me: Yes

Confused Elderly Customer: Did I order this?
Me: Yes!

Redneck Customer: Can I git a coors light bottle?
Me: Would you like a glass with that?
Redneck: Doesn't it come in one?
(suppressed comment)Fuck you!

CC#3: Where are your restrooms?
Me: Straight ahead that way.
(suppressed comment)RIGHT UNDER THAT BIG FUCKING NEON RESTROOM SIGN!

Another random rant: If you want your steak well done...order chicken! It offends me that people ruin a perfectly good peice of meat by having the shit cooked out of it drowing it in A1 or even worse KETCHUP!

Tip for asshole customers: If you are a jack-off to your waitress, we all know about it. Not only that we are all staring at you. Talking shit about your mullet and fucking with your dinner!

lazy blogger

Ok...So I suck at blogging. One of these days I will start posting on a regular basis. It's been a strange month. Most everyone who reads this is aware that Jill and I broke up a couple of weeks ago. So right now I'm in a state of figuring out WTF to do next. School isn't going horribly but I certainly cannot say that I'm working as hard as I did last semester. I'm frustrated as hell right now with it. The only solid plans I have right now for the summer is going to Bonaroo. I need to get my shit together!

On monday despite feeling like shit, I rode to Philly with my brother to go see the best freaking band in the world, Stereolab. For those of you who aren't familier with the Lab, you are seriously missing out. I have really only been listening to them for a few years but they are one of the few bands of which I own 8 of their cd's. The show was so much better than I expected it to be. They played a lot of stuff off the new cd and some older tunes that I was hoping to hear. Laetitia is even hotter in person...god I love French women! Before the show John and I stopped at Pat's King of Steaks for my "cherry popping" first philly cheesesteak. I had to have the "whiz wit" which is with onions and Cheez Whiz. I was overcome by all of the #10 cans of Cheez Whiz in the window that I caved into the pressure. Pat's is an open air stand that is not sheltered from the cold. I think I managed to finish my sandwich in about 3 or 4 minutes before I was ready to head for the car. Although the steak was good I certainly had plenty of ammo for the crowd at the show! That may have been the worst case of indigestion I have ever had.

School Daze

So I'm a few weeks into the semester so I figured I should post about it. Let me first just say I really like school but I need to rant about it. Im only enrolled in 3 classes but I definatly have my hands full. Im taking A&P II, Chemistry and Retard Math. A&P is really they only class where I know what to expect because I have the same professor as I did for A&P . I really enjoy the Chem lecture. It's interesting despite being full of way more math than I could have anticipated. The professor is pretty decent too. Chem Lab is another story entirely. My professor could conduct the entire lab in Swahili and it would make as much sense as it does in English. The concepts aren't even that hard. The professor just sucks that much. Last night he decided to leave for an extended period of time because he knew that a couple of us needed help. What a fucking dick! When he finally returned I asked about something and he told me I should read the experiment before I come to lab! lab is supposed to end at 10:30pm. At 9:50pm he tells us that he has to close the lab at 9:55pm because he has to leave. So much for completing the lab assignment that I didn't understand. Thanks a lot dickhead!

I don't hate Retard Math although it is incredibly dull. The only thing that makes it somewhat interesting is the professor. She is a bit out there, but at least she is helpful. However she dresses like a baglady. Sweatpants tucked into hunting socks with the exact same sweatshirt 6 lectures in a row. I'll bet she doesn't go too crazy with the hairbrush in the morning either. She is definatly not what I would expect a teacher to look like. But she speaks in complete sentences unlike "dickhead"(I still don't know his name).

I think I'm going to try to post at least once a week from now on. Good thing nobody reads this very often
